 Mini Tim Burton Character backpack - Penelope backpack pattern from All Sew Petite Whatabout ye folks, it's Lee here.  Long time no see!  I am sharing a cute little make with you today from a pattern made by Monika at All Sew Petite called the Penelope backpack .  This is such a cute wee bag and was very easy to make, especially since Monika kindly shows you step by step in her video tutorial for it.  And as a visual learner, the videos are definitely my preferred method of making patterns.   Now, my poor wee Janome QXL605 sewing machine did struggle a wee bit with the top stitching at the very end (why is it always  at the end when the struggles begin??)......but she still managed it ok with a bit of hand cranking from me.  But that wasn't the patterns fault, it was more to do with the fabrics and interfacing I used.  I'm eagerly awaiting the day that I have saved up the funds to get myself the Janome HD9........someday HD9....you wi...

 Handmade Mobile Phone Crossbody Disney bag Whatabout ye folks, it's Lee here.  My niece, sister and her partner are heading away to Disneyland Paris.  And I wanted to make the 2 wee ladies something that they could carry their phones in and a few bits and pieces but that wouldn't be cumbersome for them to carry around with them.  So, I made these cute wee crossbody bags.  I followed a pattern and tutorial from Owl be Sewing on YouTube.  This is such a great wee pattern and could be used for any occasion but is perfect for trips away or festivals, as it's basically a purse and mobile phone holder in one.  And it is such an incredibly fast make and I made them using Disney fat Quarter bundles that I had so they are incredibly economical on fabric.  You could easily make these bags using scrap fabric.  Plus, the bonus is that it is a completely free pattern too.  Gina does such a fabulous job, walking you through the pattern with a step b...

HANDEMADE BUZZ LIGHTYEAR BACKPACK - USING DEBBIE SHORE'S TUTORIAL Whatabout ye folks, it's Lee here.  I wanted to show you a little backpack I made for my 2 year old nephew, Alfie, who is Buzz Lightyear mad (LOOK TILLY....YOU WERE RIGHT, TEEHEE).  I made my other 2 nieces their own Harry Potter backpacks ( here & here ) and it was time for Alfie to get his own too.  He wanted Buzz Lightyear, so I purchased a few fat quarter bundles to make it (details of items below) again following the Debbie Shore backpack tutorial with a few Crafty Loops adjustments. As usual, we have the expanding side pockets that are perfect for water bottles/juice bottles etc The back straps are of course adjustable and will grow with Alfie.  I can't wait to see him rocking this to Nursery. I added a zip pocket to this backpack.  This isn't in Debbie's tutorial but she shows how to add zips in tonnes of her tutorials.  I thought it would be a handy addition as it's on the back...

Another Handmade Harry Potter Backpack - Debbie Shore free pattern What about ye folks, it's Lee here.  I know, I know......another backpack.  But these are so easy to make and I'm now getting requests from family for Christmas gifts and who am I to refuse.  As usual, its a Debbie Shore creation and her tutorial can be found HERE on YouTube. This one is definitely the best made one yet....isn't my little niece, Jessica, lucky to get one that is sort of half decently made, lol.  I'd like to think that I improved with this being my 3rd backpack I've made.
