Handmade Large Bunny Rabbits from In the Hoop Online

Handmade Large Bunny Rabbits from In the Hoop Online Whatabout ye folks, it's Lee here.  I shared another bunny last time from a pattern I bought.... this  Bunny pattern  from  In the Hoop Online .  This is such a lovely pattern from Adele and it comes together so easily too.  Adele also has a fantastic step by step  video tutorial  on her  YouTube channel .  I said that I had another 3 bunnies to make and these are 2 that I made for my 2 nephews.  I do have 1 more bunny to finish but I ran out of stuffing.  So, I'm waiting for that to come in and I will share that wee bunny then. I adore their big bunny feet.  They are so cute.  I hope this wee dude doesn't look too sinister with his big red face, lol. .....I'm hoping his big blue eyes makes him a little less terrifying, although I'm not sure they'll work....I probably should have picked a different fabric for this wee guys face but he's made now, teehee.  Hopefully he doesn't make my nephew cry...eek!

Handmade Mobile Phone Crossbody Disney bag - Mickey Mouse

Handmade Mobile Phone Crossbody Disney bag Whatabout ye folks, it's Lee here.  My niece, sister and her partner are heading away to Disneyland Paris.  And I wanted to make the 2 wee ladies something that they could carry their phones in and a few bits and pieces but that wouldn't be cumbersome for them to carry around with them.  So, I made these cute wee crossbody bags.  I followed a pattern and tutorial from Owl be Sewing on YouTube.  This is such a great wee pattern and could be used for any occasion but is perfect for trips away or festivals, as it's basically a purse and mobile phone holder in one.  And it is such an incredibly fast make and I made them using Disney fat Quarter bundles that I had so they are incredibly economical on fabric.  You could easily make these bags using scrap fabric.  Plus, the bonus is that it is a completely free pattern too.  Gina does such a fabulous job, walking you through the pattern with a step by step tutorial on her channel.  I hi

Handmade Tinkerbell Handbag/Purse - The Boronia Bowler Bag by Blue Calla Patterns

Handmade Tinkerbell Handbag/Purse - The Boronia Bowler Bag by Blue Calla Patterns Whatabout ye folks, it's Lee here.  I have a few things to say about this bag so, buckle up Buttercup, cause this is gonna be a doozy of a blog post, teehee. I completely forgot to share this bag that I made quite a few months ago.  It is another Boronia Bowler bag from Blue Calla Patterns .  I had a couple of fat quarter bundles from Disney's Tinkerbell knocking about in my stash and I wanted to use them in a bag.  The fat quarters just fit this pattern so I was delighted when I was able to use them.  And if I am being honest, the fat quarter was maybe 1/2 inch too short for the actual pattern, but the pattern actually uses a good bit of overlap between the fabric and faux leather, so that 1/2 inch of fabric that I didn't have would have been hidden behind the faux leather anyway, so technically it was waste that wouldn't have been seen.  So, I managed to make my 2 fat quarters work w

Boronia Bag - Blue Calla Patterns - Handmade Tim Burton handbag/purse

Boronia Bag - Blue Calla Patterns - Handmade Tim Burton handbag/purse Whatabout ye folks, it's Lee here.  I realise that my blog may look like it's turning into a bag making blog, but I promise it isn't.....I'm going through a phase, teehee.  Maybe I should maybe think about making another blog for just my sewing projects.  But, I suppose, this is a crafting blog and I never like to stick to one thing only.  I like to learn tonnes of different crafts, it keeps things interesting. Anyway, I told you that I was making another one of the Blue Calla Patterns Boronia Bags .  I am a big Tim Burton fan and as soon as I saw this Tim Burton characters fabric on Craftyjam on Ebay, I knew I had to make a handbag from it.  Looks like the whole gang is here on this fabric, lol.  And the Boronia pattern is perfect because you actually don't need a massive length of the main body fabric at all. I only bought a 1/2 metre and I got all the pattern pieces needed with some to spar

Boronia Handbag - Handmade Nightmare Before Christmas Handbag/Purse

Boronia Handbag - Handmade Nightmare Before Christmas Handbag/Purse Whatabout ye folks, it's Lee here.  Oh my good giddy Aunt, when I tell you I am obsessed with the Blue Calla Patterns Boronia Bag pattern...well.....I am....as you'll see from me making another of these bags (and another one on the go, teehee).  I am so chuffed with this bag.  Again, it's not perfect.  But imperfection is swiftly becoming "my thing" lol.  The shape looks a wee bit dodgy at the top but that is only because I stuffed the bag with a cushion for the photos and clearly, I did not stuff it evenly teehee.   As is usual with pretty much everything I make, this bag is not for me, lol.  IT'S MY BIRTHDAY TODAY, YIPPEEE!  But I made this bag for my wee sister, T who has loved the Nightmare Before Christmas movie since she was a wee one.  And to this day it is still one of her most favourite movies.  I'd say that she could recite the entire movie from start to finish. When I found
