DIY Handmade Snuggle Bear - PayItForward Free pattern

Whatabout ye folks, it's Lee here.  I've been really enjoying making Lisa Pay's fantastic free patterns for bears and toy making.  Her instructional videos on YouTube are truly second to none.  If someone as novice as me can make a bear, anyone can, lol.  Now, I'm not perfect at it, but I certainly give it a go, teehee.  I'm sharing a little Snuggle Bear I made using Lisa's free pattern.  Check out her video for all the details on how to make it.  If you want to buy any of the items I used to make this bear, see my shopping list below.  I'm not sponsored by any of these companies, it's just the places that I bought my supplies from and have had great service from.

Ok, first off......I made a BIG MISTAKE and we are just going to notice it, giggle and move on, teehee.  I did all this work and ended up at the last hurdle messing up the eye placement....I know, I know....FACEPALM.  But I promise, the next one will be better.  I have bought eye placement pins so a mistake like this doesn't.....at least, hopefully doesn't happen again, lol.
This poor wee dudes eyes, lol......the next one I make will hopefully have even eye placement
This Sherpa Fabric is so incredibly soft and fluffy.....a bit messy to cut....but so incredibly easy to sew.  It was fantastic to work with.....but do be aware....when you cut out the pattern, you will be covered in fluff balls.  You do need to cut as close to the fabric base as you can, to cut down on fluff going everywhere.
This wee fella has cotter joints at his arms, legs and head joints.  So his little arms, legs and head move beautifully.
His little nose is a flocked 21mm safety nose, but Lisa includes a pattern piece to cover the little nose in any contrasting fabric you choose.  I used a beautiful black polycotton with white ditsy flowers on it, link is below.
He is so super soft and squishy.  I'm so delighted with how he turned out....other than my dodgy eye placement, lol.  I will definitely be making another one or maybe 2 of these bears.....I have plenty of nieces and nephews to lumber with my makes, teehee.

My wee sister, T has asked me to make her a Memory Bear using her favourite clothes that she's kept from her wee daughter, Lexi who is almost 6 now......I think T is VERY brave in entrusting me with her daughter's prized possessions....I don't feel one bit worried at all....nope, there is no doubt in my mind that I can do this......EEEKKKKKK!  Well, T trusts me which is probably more credit than I'm due.  But you know me....I'll give it a good go, teehee.  Again, Lisa Pay has shared a Memory Bear and a free pattern too so no doubt, that is the one I will be using.  Thankfully, by the time I get that bear made, I'll have received the Bear tester eyes....so hopefully it won't have wonky eyes, lol.

That's it from me folks.  See you on the next one.
