New flowers Ive made from lace and fabric....I think they are so pretty

New flowers I've made from lace and fabric

As previously discussed, flowers are hitting the shelves like nobodies business at the moment, should it be in Art or Fashion, Home Decor or Hairstyles.  Flowers are definitely back.  As I said before, I saw a beautiful flower on the waistband of a dress recently and I instantly wanted to make it, lol.  Just look on YouTube, Blogs....any social platform and everyone is making fabric or paper flowers at the minute.  They are everywhere.  I'm getting inspiration from everywhere for flowers but I also need to thank my primary school teacher who also taught me how to make flowers, sew and craft.  Without her, I would never have had a needle and thread or played with fabric like I do now.

Thanks to that gorgeous flower on the waistband of a dress, I've had a go at making some of my own.  If you fancy trying some, have a look on YouTube for some inspiration also.  I saw a tutorial from a lovely girl on YouTube making similar fabric flowers and thought I'd give her a shout out as she also inspired me to play with these types of flowers.  I think its polite to give someone a shout out if they've inspired you to make something pretty.  Her channel name is SaCrafters on YouTube.  Natticha is an incredibly talented crafter.  If someone inspires you to make something, please give them the honour of a shout out.

Here are some of the new flowers I've made from lace and fabric.  I've just made these ones with white fabric and lace using the Tim Holtz tattered florals die and the flat back pearl is a massive 15mm and I think it goes really well in the flowers.  They are so soft and elegant, I just love them.  I'm currently awaiting an order of more lace and fabric to do other colours but of course the white can be coloured and glimmer misted.  But I thought there was something very delicate and vintage about the white flowers that I kept them just as they were.  Personally they are my most favourite fabric flower so far.  They are a nice size to fit on a card, scrapbook page or altered project and because they are fabric they can be fluffed up or lay flat to be able to go into an envelope if needs be.  I love them, they're so pretty.  They are my little bundles of lovely fluffiness!
These are made using the second smallest cut on the die but I will be posting larger and smaller ones too so watch this space!!  Thanks for stopping by and any comments or questions are greatly received.
