Craft Room Clear Out - 1ST round of EBay sales

Craft Room Clear Out - 1st round of EBay sales I did say in a previous post that I wanted to do another Craft Room Clear out.  My crafting has taken different directions as I am sure you have noticed.  That is not to say that I am not ever going to make flowers or journals again.  No way will I stop that, teehee.  However, I have a room full to the brim of items I have purchased and collected for well over a decade.  The majority of the items have never even been removed from their packaging or used which is honestly, an absolute crying shame.  I do not want to have a plethora of items.  I could genuinely kit out a Craft store with the amount of products I have.  And it feels wrong to have it all sitting there not being used.  I want to see these items going to good homes.  So, I will be listing them on EBay for UK bidders only.  Sorry about sticking with the UK, but it just becomes too much work if I have to sell abroad and I'd be ...

Design Teams......should Designers get paid?

This is a different kind of post, I'm not sharing any makes today.  But I wanted to talk to you about something that might be a bit controversial within the Arts & Crafting Community. I must have written this post maybe 6 or 7 years ago but wasn't sure if I should post it as, I didn't want to upset anyone.  However, the more and more I thought about it, rewrote it and tinkered with this post, the more I felt compelled to share it.....even if it's a bit controversial.  And the subject relates to Design Teams and the issue around whether the Designer should get paid a wage and not just paid in products. I know there are going to be varying opinions about this but please hear me out.  I think as Crafters, we tend to undervalue our work a lot and I think this plays a major role in how Design Teams work....and possibly take advantage of that fact. If you want to hear more about my thoughts and opinions of Crafters,  commissions, "favours" and paid work, ple...

Handmade Apron

HANDMADE APRON My beautiful assistant, ie, my Scrubby, is modelling the Apron like a professional, teehee Whatabout ye folks, it's Lee here.  I'm back to share a really quick project with you that is the perfect handmade gift for Christmas.  This is an apron that I have made for my wee brother who is almost 22.  I know I've shared this before (as I am an immensely proud big sister) but Corey got his pilots licence when he was just 19 years old.  He was the youngest pilot to get his licence in the quickest time.  To say that my wee brother is a genius would be an understatement.  He's currently studying Aerospace Engineering at Queen's in Belfast.  He is just the sweetest, funniest, smartest person I know and just being able to call him my wee brother makes me so proud every day.......did I mention that there is 21 years difference between us?  When I say I'm his oldest sister........I am wayyyyyyy older, teehee. I just wanted to quickly ment...

It's all about the bee's knees - DIY Handmade Large Tote

It's all about the bee's knees - DIY Handmade Large Tote Whatabout ye folks, it's Lee here.  So I made another one of Debbie Shore's large tote bags...well, it has been a wee while since I last made one, lol. I've made so many now that I could probably sew them in my sleep, teehee.  Here's the link to the bag in case you want to have a go...  Debbie's Large Tote Bag . As usual, I made a few modifications which I'll share below.  I think this is the first one I've made where I didn't make many of my wee "Lee mistakes" as my wee Mamma affectionately calls them, lol.  This one is going to my Auntie Fiona, or Fifi as she's affectionately known.  She loves bees and this fabric was a dream to work with.  No issues at all. I wasn't sure which fabric Auntie Fifi would prefer as the main body so my Wee Mamma let me know that the Honey Yellow was the way to go.  The bag has a really good sized zip pocket on the outside. And both sides of...
