Handmade Large Tote Bag - Debbie Shore free pattern

Handmade Large Tote Bag - Debbie Shore free pattern What about ye folks, it's Lee here.  Ok, so it's not a backpack....but it is another Debbie Shore bag, teehee.  This one is her large tote bag that she shared the tutorial for on YouTube.  By the way, do you know I have a YouTube Channel ?  I haven't uploaded much on it lately but I am in the process of remedying that.  My camcorder died on me and I had to buy a new one...ugh!  But hopefully I'll be back to sharing video tutorials very soon. Anyway, back to this tote bag.  I used a Disney's Dumbo fat quarter bundle and it has the most adorable images on it.  My wee Mamma loves Dumbo, and the colour combination of yellow and grey together, so this will be going to her.  I will share a shopping list for as many of the products I used that I can remember where I bought them, lol. This bag has 2 zips....and might I add, these are my first ever zips I've put into anything.  And I actually ...

Homemade Cake Pops - I can't believe he's 21

Homemade Cake Pops - I can't believe he's 21 My wee baby brother turns 21 years old tomorrow...I can't believe it.  There is 21 years between us too....if you can believe that.  Everyone thought he was my baby when he was born, teehee.  He was my wee shadow.  He is currently studying Aerospace Engineering at Queen's in Belfast.  He just found out that he won 2 awards for being the top student of his year.  He's also doing his year Internship and he's loving it.  Did I also mention that he got his pilots licence when he was just 19??  19 years of age and he was flying planes!!   He excels at everything he does but is so gracious and humble....unlike his big sister, lol.   I couldn't be more proud of him, he's turned out to be an incredible young man.   I will gladly shout it from the roof tops that he's an exceptional human being, lol. I made these cake pops and will be making the finishing touches to his birthday cake...

Carpenter's wheel Patchwork Quilt

Carpenter's wheel Patchwork Quilt So, here I am with my 3rd quilt.....I think it's my third, lol.  It's another Donna Jordan, from Jordan Fabrics pattern.  Here instructions and YouTube videos really are amazing.  They make a new sewer like me feel confident enough to make a quilt like this.  Although, maybe this is easy for most people....but as I said, I'm still pretty new to all this sewing business.   This quilt is for my almost 21 year old wee bro who is studying for his Masters in AeroSpace Engineering at Queen's University in Belfast.....the kid is a bloody genius, I tell ya!  Did I say he got his pilots license when he was only 19 years old!?  He was the youngest person to get his license in the shortest amount of time.  To say I am incredibly proud of him, is an understatement.  He's so incredibly smart but is such a kind and humble person.....unlike his big sister, when it comes to bragging about him, teehee.  But I'm his...

How to make a book - Kettle Stitch Bookbinding

How to make a book - Kettle Stitch Bookbinding  A number of year ago......In fact.......over 9 years ago (SHOCK!!!) I made a series of bookbinding tutorials, showing how I make a book from start to finish.  I divided the videos up into different sections which meant the viewer had to click onto the next video.  I thought this would be a simpler way of doing the videos however, I have been asked over the years if I could make the series into one continuous video, so the viewer doesn't have to click out of the video onto the next one. So, it's only taken me almost a decade and quite a few hours of editing, but I edited the videos into one continuous format and deleted some of my waffling....boy I can talk.  It is almost 90 mins long, so please be aware of that.  I am making a book completely from scratch. I do realise that if you watched the initial series of tutorials, this video is just a repeat and not for you.  But this is for those people who prefer to h...

More handmade Bunnies & Bears....Oh My! PayITForward free pattern

More handmade Bunnies & Bears....Oh My!  PayITForward free pattern  What about ye folks, it's Lee here. Welcome back. I know, I know! I shared these types of cutie patooties in my last post, but as I gave those away as gifts to my nieces and nephew, I just had to make some more. If you want to know all about them, where I got the pattern etc., please click  HERE   to see all the information in my previous post. I made a few wee modifications to these ones compared to my first ones, like fabric sleeves on the bunnies but, everything else was pretty much the same as my first ones. I made their outfits using beautiful fat quarter fabrics from Disney for all of them except, the wee bear with the brown polka dots. They are beautiful fabrics, really great quality, thick cotton fabric which was a dream to sew.  I don't know how I manage to make them all look different, as I'm using the same bunny and Teddy Bear pattern, but each time I make them, they look so diffe...

Handmade Bunnies & A Teddy Bear - payItForward free pattern

Handmade Bunnies & A Teddy Bear - payItForward free pattern What about ye folks, it's Lee here and welcome back to my blog. Firstly, let me wish you all a very Happy New Year.  Let's hope 2021 is a kinder year for us all, and we stay safe and healthy.  I want to share with you some wee cutie patooties that I made as Christmas gifts for 2 of my nieces and wee nephew. The girls are both 4 years old and the wee boy is only 6 months old. These are not my own designs but I do want to tell you about where I got the patterns because I think the creator is incredibly talented and generous. I happened to be watching Micheline from Michoumakes and she was sharing some cute little makes that she had sewn up, when she kindly gave a shout out to the actual designer. Before I go on, on a personal note, it is incredibly important to me and all us creative types that we give credit where credit is due. Now I know nowadays it's hard to come up with an original idea. However, if you are...
