New flowers Ive made from lace and fabric....I think they are so pretty

New flowers I've made from lace and fabric As previously discussed, flowers are hitting the shelves like nobodies business at the moment, should it be in Art or Fashion, Home Decor or Hairstyles.  Flowers are definitely back.  As I said before, I saw a beautiful flower on the waistband of a dress recently and I instantly wanted to make it, lol.  Just look on YouTube, Blogs....any social platform and everyone is making fabric or paper flowers at the minute.  They are everywhere.  I'm getting inspiration from everywhere for flowers but I also need to thank my primary school teacher who also taught me how to make flowers, sew and craft.  Without her, I would never have had a needle and thread or played with fabric like I do now. Thanks to that gorgeous flower on the waistband of a dress, I've had a go at making some of my own.  If you fancy trying some, have a look on YouTube for some inspiration also.  I saw a tutorial from a lovely girl on YouTube making similar fabric flo

YoYo fabric flowers

Here are some fabric YoYo flowers I have made using different decorative buttons for the flower centres.  I used pink and white polka dot fabric and green and white polka dot fabric. These are great to use on cards as they are small enough and certainly flat enough to go onto cards.  But they are also beautiful made into little pins for your clothes, on frames and altered projects, scrapbook pages, you name it, these flowers will look great on anything.  They are very cute and can be made with different materials and colours.  And you can use whatever type of centre you like, I just love using decorative buttons. I can do a tutorial on these if anyone wants.  Just leave a comment below and let me know. SORRY THE PHOTOS ARE NOT PERFECT, THEY ARE A BIT BLURRY.  ITS NOT LIKE ME TO TAKE A BAD PHOTO....DONT KNOW WHAT HAPPENED.  COULD HAVE BEEN SOMETHING TO DO WITH THE FACT THAT I TOOK THEM AT 4AM IN THE MORNING!!!  YAWN! Thank you for your comments and should you have any questio

Flower Tutorial - Origami Lily Type Flower

This tutorial is heavily photograph based.  You need little more than some paper, glue and paper clips but there will be plenty of photographs to back up the instructions.  It is very easy to make, it just has a few steps to get it from a square piece of paper to a petal.  Sorry about the photos with my thumb nail showing!!  Its very long and has awful bumps to it as I caught it in a door when I was a wee one and it never grew right again.  It looks awful......looks like something out of Roald Dahl's The Witches!!  Its been duly cut and filed since!! WHAT YOU NEED All you need is glue, wet glue is great but you can use hot glue too.  I just didn't have any that day.  If you use hot glue don't plaster the flower in the stuff, use sparingly and you also will have no need for the paper clips then. Paper clips, if using a wet glue/pva 5 pieces of 3x3 inch paper.  Single sided or double....its up to you.  I used single sided but it looks lovely with double side
