Flower Tutorial - Small Prima Like Roses - Using Tim Holtz Tattered Florals Die Apologise for inky finger nails and hands.....its dirty business this flower making malarky!!   THINGS YOU WILL NEED Tim Holtz die.  4 of the smallest flower cuts or an alternative small 5 petalled flower, Glue - Im using Anita tacky glue but you use which ever glue you prefer.  Pritt stick not advisable as it wont hold the petals as quickly or as well as a wet glue, An embossing stylus or the bottom of a rounded pen, A foam mat or the back of a mouse mat, Plain, colour or patterned paper or cardstock.  All types work for this flower.  I am using an embossed mulberry type paper but you can use whatever you like, Tweezers or cocktail stick. Obviously you can colour or decorate your flowers any way you wish, I am simply showing you the basic flower.  How you embellish or colour it is up to you. STEP ONE 1. This is the shabby rose I will be showing you how to make in this tutorial. THINGS YOU WILL NEED  Tim Holtz Tattered florals Die* (see note in Extras below) - cut one of each flower, Scissors, Paper - I used a mulberry type paper, but cheap copier paper or patterned paper is good too, Water spray bottle, Glue - which ever you prefer.  PVA, pritt stick, hot glue, silicone - all are fine, Beads or stamen for the flower centres, Ink for colouring the flowers - I used Tim Holtz Distress Inks, Cut n' dry foam or make up sponge **. EXTRAS YOU MAY LIKE BUT AREN'T A NECESSITY Heat tool to dry the flowers but this is optional and not a necessity, You may wish to use glitter to add around the edges or stickles. The Tim Holtz Grunge Rose Flower Tutorial APOLOGISE AGAIN FOR THE STATE OF MY NAILS!!  I was using colourbox yellow chalk inks and they are so hard to get off your hands and nails!! WHAT YOU NEED Tim Holtz Tattered florals - 3 of the largest flowers cut from the die. Cardstock or patterned paper - any type of paper can be used for this rose, I just happened to use white card stock this time around.  I also suggest you decorate your flowers before making them.  You can add glitter and stickles etc after its made though. PVA, silicone or an alternative wet glue DO NOT USE A HOT GLUE GUN!  The glue dries too hard and makes it extremely difficult to bend and manipulate the flowers.  I made this mistake in these photos! Flower Tutorial - teeny tiny lotus flower This is my very first tutorial, so please, please take it easy on me. I'm very new to blogging so I hope this tutorial turns out correctly.  Firstly, I must apologise for the awful colour of my nails in these photo's.  I am not a smoker!!  But I do use yellow ink for the centre of flowers.  Unfortunately with having long nails comes with the consequences of getting inked nails.  So please excuse the messy hands and nails.  But lets face it, crafting is not a clean hobby!
