Altered laundry basket

Altered laundry basket  This past Christmas, my wee Mamma wanted a new laundry basket.  She recently did a few bits and pieces in her bedroom and wanted something to go with her duck egg blue colour scheme and if I could find some way to fit butterflies into the theme too, that would be great.  Well, I searched and I searched and could not find anything that would go with that theme, at all.  So, I decided to jimmy rig and alter one myself, lol....not sure if that made it any better mind you, teehee. I bought this one on Amazon ( click link, if you want one, lol) as it had a removable fabric liner that I could add to. I then purchased this stunning Laura Ashley curtain fabric on Ebay.  It was just a 1/2 metre remnant but it was a perfect amount for what I needed.  Not only was it duck egg blue, but it had butterflies on it! On a piece of the scrap fabric left over, I decided to sew around one of the butterflies to make this little padded dangle butterfly to add to the front of the bas

Ruby Slippers Video Tutorial

Ruby Slippers Video Tutorial It's an oldie but a goodie.  You know those days when you are randomly going through your laptop, looking at old videos and photos and then you come across a half edited video from 3 years ago that you forgot to post?  No?  Is that just me?  Well, that is what happened here.  I forgot to post the tutorial on how I made these Ruby Slippers shoes.....almost 3 years ago.  So without further ado.....and waffling much more, because it could end up being another year before this is posted.....here is the video of how I created a pair of ruby slippers for my wee Skin and Blister (that's good ole Cockney rhyme for Sister). And as always, that is it from me today Folks.  Hope to see you around my Blog neighbourhood soon.  Any questions, please leave in the comment section below and I will do my best to help you. Altered Extendible Cutlery Tray - Made into a Storage Unit

Altered Extendible Cutlery Tray - Made into a Storage Unit BEFORE I GET STARTED:  You may have noticed that when you come over to my blog that the address may redirect to www.craftyloops.com.....that's because I bought the domain name.....Yippee.  However, nothing has changed.  If you put in my blogspot address, you will still find me.  It just redirects the name to my dot com address.  But I'm still a blogger girl.  Everything I do is still run by Blogger.  And in case you want to know where I was able to buy my dot com domain name from (for just £2 a year), I got it from godaddy .  I have not been sponsored to advertise for them....this is simply where my 13 year old brother told me to go and buy my domain name......and if he tells me where to go and buy it from, then I listen.  He's a child prodigy, lol. I haven't been crafting as I'm sure you are aware by my distinct lack of attendance in Blogland.  I have been doing out my craft room.....new furniture going

My Stash.......Card and Money Jar

My Stash.......Card and Money Jar Hello my lovelies.  What is it with me and making a total eejit of myself when I'm in Belfast?  I was at it again last week!  If you didn't read my last post, you may want to catch up, because my "Belfast Behaviour" is becoming a bit of a series in itself!  My sister, T and I went up to Belfast to the Bi-Annual Craft Fair at the King's Hall.  We met up with me ole mucker Maddy ( Izzwizz creations here in blogland) who is looking absolutely stunning by the way with her newly highlighted spikey blonde hair.  We had a great ole day messing about, waffling and spending wayyyyyy too much money.  Maddy bought her first set of Pan Pastels so keep an eye out for her up-coming projects using those, they'll be incredible. Afterwards I took T into the City Centre to leave an essay in to Uni but it being Belfast and having constant roadworks, there was a big queue of stagnant traffic, as always.  So T is sat beside me with her f

Summer Expedition Journal - Beauty is in the eye of the beholder

Summer Expedition Journal - Beauty is in the eye of the beholder This is going to be a photo heavy post, lol So sorry for the glare on this photo.  I don't know whats up with my camera! I know, I know ............"Where have you been Loops" I can hear you all shout. Im sorry I have been such an awful blogger of late.  And its not as if I can even blame it on having glorious weather either because living in Northern Ireland, the very second the sun comes out and someone says "This is some weather we're having, isn't it?", they have pretty much scudded us all and we are guaranteed to have torrential rain, hail stones the size of golf balls and freezing temperatures!  So the weather hasn't been good at all in Northern Ireland except..... dare I say it?......the sun has been out yesterday and today.  Its ok though, normality will resume in a matter of hours, as we are to have rain again tomorrow.  So as I type this post, Scrubby is fr
